As an embryo develops the cells become specialized and regulated so that they divide and multiply at the exact rate required to form a perfect body.
Each cell has a specific function to perform and only divides when needed. Tumours occur when cell growth becomes less regulated and the cells become more embryonic and so start dividing spontaneously evoking their own circulation and forming a disorganised lump.
Some cancers spread into blood vessels, travelling anywhere, some spread in the lymphatics and travel along a chain and some just stay where they are. If the body can improve its regulation of these cells the growth can slow. If the body recognises the rogue cells the bodies immunity will attack and remove them.
